Adilene was born and raised in Mission, Texas. She received her BFA in Studio Art and Minor in Psychology from the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley. She is currently working on her MFA at the same institution as a 3D artist with a concentration in ceramics.

Adilene’s work focuses on raising awareness to long term diseases such as childhood cancer. Her large ceramic pieces are based on statistics, and observation of face expressions of those affected. The sizes of the pieces are intended to make the viewer feel compelled to take action against these diseases.
