Lauralynn White is an exhibiting artist and curator living and working in Chicago. The primary focus of her work lies in exploring the relationship between our environment and ourselves, both as individuals and collectively as a species. She endeavors to expose the fragility and celebrate the importance of our planet’s ecosystems through the vulnerability of the naked human form integrated in the landscape. White earned a BFA in Illustration and Art History from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She is an exhibiting member of WomanMade Chicago and CVA Chautauqua. She is a Signature Member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), sitting on their exhibitions and PR committees. She has served on the board of ArtFusion, Pottstown, PA and as a juror/curator for exhibitions, including; Oliva Gallery, Albright College, YorkArts, Alvernia University and Reading Film Festival. For nearly a decade, White was Gallery Director at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, Reading, PA and was founding Director/Curator of Contemporary Art Gallery, Chautauqua. She has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally. Most recently, she has completed a life size portrait bust of Kate F. Kimball for the CLSC to be cast in bronze for the 150th anniversary in 2028.
