Description

Entering my studio with joy and excitement, I discover what each day will holdI am passionate about making art and it is my daily practice to work in my studio spaces. Using many techniques and diverse materials I share places, birds, woods, creeks, and dreams that move meI make my block prints into 2D pieces or 3D sculptures that free stand or are wall mountedI combine, ink, paint, block prints, pastels, drawing materials and found objects to combine and fold and make pieces that tell stories to shareI tear, paint, cut and print paper, layer colors and images, and adhere them to a background to set up and sculpt into formsThrough my love of nature, combined with a love of sculpture and paper I used my own art voice for these pieces. Some of my favorite artists include Joseph Cornell, Georgia O’Keefe and the Canadian Group of Seven Painters.
