Susan Watters

Suzanne Watters has always had an interest in creative experimentation. She has taken many art classes throughout her life, including printmaking classes at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts (and studied with a number of master printmakers at Artist Image Resource in Pittsburgh). She has a master’s degree in 20th century art history from Harvard University. Suzanne is inspired by nature, and she considers that to be one of the best teachers.

Ms. Watters’ work has been represented by a number of local galleries. As a History of Visual Communications professor at Robert Morris University, her prints were included in 2015 and 2016 faculty shows. She had a solo show at The Christine Frechard Gallery, in June of 2017. Her work has been included in shows at the Kellogg Fowler Art Center at the Chautauqua Institution in the summers 2014-2019, and it is a part of a number of corporate art collections. Two of Suzanne’s mixed media pieces were included in the virtual show “Identity” at The Holy Art Gallery in London, United Kingdom in January of 2021. Two of her works were included in the show Tekne at Galeria Azur Madrid in the spring of 2021, and one of her paintings was included in the show COMING OUT at m.a.d.s. artgallery in Milan, Italy in June of 2021.  Three works are currently included in the Southern Tier Art Center of Western New York State’s virtual show – Debut.

Suzanne Watters is represented by Galeria Azur Madrid and her works can be purchased on Artsy. She will be starting the Pratt Institute MFA Program in the fall of 2022.
