Peggy Quinn

Currently, I am primarily working as a potter in my backyard pole barn studio. My business name is Peggy Quinn Clay Studio although I do like to paint on the side. I have chosen to exhibit one of my paintings and one of my large clay baskets. I moved back to rural Erie County about 4 years ago and I started my business 3 years ago after purchasing my clay studio equipment and a full pantry of the potter’s raw materials. My next task was to create my potter’s palette of glazes and slips. During the beginning stages of my business, I was chosen by Erie Arts and Culture to receive a $2000.00 Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program grant. And just this past year, my business was chosen to receive a free 11 week business class for creatives called ErieMade. And now ErieMade has sponsored me to receive a free artist booth at the Pittsburgh Handmade Arcade show this December. I have had pieces excepted into National exhibitions in Columbus Ohio at the Ohio Craft Museum and at the Touchstone Center for Crafts in Farmington Pennsylvania. Currently my work is sold in the Chautauqua Gallery Store as well as galleries in Pittsburgh and Cambridge Springs Pennsylvania.
