I’ve always welcomed challenges and felt instinctively capable of responding to opportunities when they have presented themselves.
From an early age I had a passion for art and creativity, whether it was drawing or writing or anything arts related. It led me to a 40-year career in advertising, design and marketing. I found a passion for expression, and I’ve been extremely fortunate to love what I do.
After high school I attended and graduated from a five-year program at the Cleveland Institute of Art with a BFA in Graphic Design. I met many outstanding
people who today I still call my friends. One of them, Susan, my wife of almost fifty years. Upon graduation we spent a year in Denver. But we soon realized that family was most important to us both, so we moved back to Erie. We married, raised our daughter who, along with her husband, also call Erie home. And now we have two beautiful grandchildren. Along the way, I co-founded and served as creative director of my own marketing communications firm.
Since retiring from the corporate world ten years ago, I’ve been able to spend time with family, travel, take piano lessons, play a lot of golf (but never enough), summer at Chautauqua and spend a considerable amount of time creating abstract digital paintings. I’m continually discovering new ways to develop and express myself.
