Anna Johnson
Anna Johnson is a studio metalsmith whose work explores the intricate relationships within the natural world and our place within it. Using lost wax casting and metal fabrication, she creates contemporary pieces that evoke reverence and stewardship for nature. She holds a BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Appalachian State University and has taught nationally at institutions including Penland School of Craft and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Her work has been exhibited internationally, featured in publications, and is held in private and public collections, including the Museum of Arts and Design in Manhattan. Anna is currently an Artist-In-Residence at Penland School of Craft (2025-2028).
