Description

My porcelain tableware and serving sets comment on the relationship between humans, nature, and food. Each piece is designed for a particular dish or beverage and the aesthetic decisions are informed by researching their history, production, and plant-based ingredients. The specific plants inspire my forms, surface designs, and patterns. I adorn my vessels with floral ornamentation to celebrate nature and gatherings centered around food. I embellish my porcelain forms with gemstones and luster to reflect the preciousness of the object and to celebrate the occasion for which my work is used. The interaction with these delicate objects demands the user to be conscious of the present moment, while also fostering a greater sense of appreciation.
