Description
“Un Cafecito is a reflection of warmth, memory, and the small, meaningful rituals that connect me to my roots and family. In Dominican culture, sharing a cup of coffee after a meal is more than a custom. It is a gesture of care, a moment to slow down and connect. While my relationship with my family is complex, this ritual remains one of the few places where I still feel joy and belonging. Through this set, I am reaching into memories and finding the parts of my heritage that still bring me happiness. The vibrant colors are a sign of that happiness, a way to celebrate the comfort I find in these small moments. Even as I continue to struggle with where I fit within my family, this piece allows me to connect with something meaningful. It holds comfort, community, and the beauty of shared moments that continue to shape who I am.”About this Artist
