I enjoy the process of mixing colors, of noticing the colors move and mix on wet paper, of trying to achieve both light and dark areas, of layering color, and attempting to keep the subject loose and flowy.

Josette Rolley
I have always enjoyed art as a spectator, which developed into a hands-on passion. I worked in Pottery for many years but had always admired watercolor as an art form. I took a watercolor class at Chautauqua and found it both frustrating and unforgiving. With the suggestions, advice, and tips from Rita Auerbach and other teachers and friends, I am enjoying working in the medium.
