Description

In painting Fall Table, I arranged a quiet still life composed of familiar objects and painted it in oil on a heavily textured surface. The textures became a vital part of the painting process—guiding my brushstrokes, catching the light, and inviting me to scrape back into the surface to reveal underlying layers. This physical engagement with the surface allowed me to highlight form and shadow in a way that feels both structured and intuitive. The piece aims to capture a moment of stillness—an interior scene shaped by light, memory, and the tactile presence of paint.

Through my art, I hope to inspire a sense of awe and wonder in the natural world, and to encourage…
