Description
During a studio visit with Stonewall veteran and artist, Tommy Lanigan-Schmidt, Tommy noticed a packet of Emergen-C® on my desk and asked me what it was. I had been battling a cold for weeks and had been drinking the stuff like Kool-Aid. I explained to him that Emergen-C® was an orange powder with medicine in it that you pour into a glass of water and drink it when you’re feeling sick. He suggested I pour a little of the powder into the palm of my hand and lick it so that I would have an orange stain on my tongue and hand and show all of my friends the stains.
