Description
Wendell Cole, retired businessman who thoroughly enjoys woodworking; Ruth Cole, retired Gifted and English educator who sketches and paints: he creates the original frames for her pen & ink architectural sketches, usually entered in VACI member shows. Ruth learned to paint in oil at Chautauqua beginning at age eleven. In 2020, they would have been at Chautauqua with her teaching Shakespeare for the twenty-second year in Special Studies; and they would have been visiting Bryce Canyon – his dream since age nine. The artistic result, depicting the canceled trip, is his handmade hexagonal frame for her oil painting of Bryce.
