Description
In photographing nature, it is important to not only record the subject matter in front of the photographer but also edit the image to bring out the atmosphere and energy of the scene or object. Color is my main tool in describing the substance of what I see and feel and infrared photography as well as editing tools in Photoshop and specialized plug-ins allow for interpretation and individual vision. The value of art photography in the digital age is a translation of reality that is similar to painting but unique to the medium of the camera and the computer. Detail, delineation of line, color, space and form all have infinite possibilities in photography.
