There is fear. I’m afraid for our country, and very anxious about the future. Even though I’m not quite sure what to add to the conversation to help make this a better place to live, I still have hope. My life is not extraordinary. I am a white man, and a man of a certain age. My voice and my perspective have been heard way too many times. It’s not all about me. Plenty of mistakes have been made, and there’s a need to make amends. I want to apologize to you. So, I tell stories of fear, complicity, childhood memories, anxiety, vulnerabilities, marginalization, sexuality, religion, love, humor, and hopeful expressions of humanity. Words matter, and I hope to make some changes.
