Susan Watters
Suzanne Watters weaves ecological narratives that quietly raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage healing. Interconnectedness. Yearning. An alternate world. She’s had a lifelong journey of creative experimentation and art classes including printmaking, photography and metalsmithing. She studied with a number of master print makers at Artist Image Resource in Pittsburgh and had a studio there from 2010-2016. Suzanne has a master’s degree in liberal studies with a concentration in 20th century art history from Harvard University. She collects natural objects, is inspired by nature, and considers it to be one of the best teachers.
Suzanne has shown her work at a number of art galleries and her prints and paintings are included in corporate art collections. As a history of visual communications and art history professor at Robert Morris University, her work was in a number of faculty exhibitions. In May of 2024, Suzanne Watters received her Master of Fine Arts in visual art from Pratt Institute, and she also completed a residency program at COPENYC in Brooklyn, NY. She works with dyes from the natural world or food waste, handmade earth pigments and found materials. Suzanne especially loves to create with natural object.
