DESCRIPTION:“Traversing Painting and Creating Community in the Arts” \n\n\n\nErika b Hess is a painter\, host of the popular art podcast- I Like Your Work\, and Artistic Director of Visual Arts at Chautauqua Institution.  Hess’s work has been exhibited nationally with recent exhibitions in L.A.\, Philadelphia\, and Columbus\, OH. \n\n\n\nHess’s work has been featured in various publications\, and she currently writes on the topic of artistic practice for Visionary Art Magazine. She is frequently an invited curator and juror for exhibitions\, art publications\, and awards while also serving on panels and speaking at various institutions such as Wellesley University\, The University of Montana\, Missouri State University\, Pratt and many others.  \n\n\n\nHess maintains an active studio practice in Columbus\, Ohio\, and Long Island City\, New York\, where she keeps a selected inventory of work. She is represented by Contemporary Art Matters in Columbus\, OH. Hess received her MFA from Boston University.
